Background: A recent project involved a family home where mobile service was almost non-existent. The main culprit? Modern building materials, which are notorious for blocking mobile signals. The homeowners, reliant on Vodafone and EE networks, needed a solution to ensure reliable connectivity throughout their property. Challenges: Residential properties often present unique challenges when it comes to cabling, particularly due to floorboards, tiled floors, and carpets. Running cables discreetly and with minimal disruption is always our priority, and this project was no exception. Solution and Result: Given that the family only required voice connectivity, and their broadband was already adequate, we proposed the installation of two Cel-Fi units—one for each network (EE & Vodafone). This solution not only met their immediate needs but also allowed for reprogramming in case of a future provider change, a feature standard in all ZoneGen products. To distribute the signal effectively, we implemented a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) throughout the property. The result? The family is now enjoying uninterrupted mobile service, ensuring that they never miss an important call, whether personal or business-related.  This successful project highlights our commitment to delivering tailored solutions that keep our clients connected, no matter the challenges posed by modern construction materials.
