Refurbished Surrey Home
Background
We were approached by this customer because all UK networks were unusable in the property which had gone through a total refurbishment and extension. With thick stone walls and a vast distance from network towers making connectivity very unreliable. The customer required all four networks, and we also quoted for Wi-Fi using a 4G connection since their broadband speeds were very poor.
Solution
We installed four Cel-Fi network units, one for each network, with an internal DAS system throughout the property. This was a tri-band system so three radios per network which is better for future proofing ready for 5G.
Challenges
Usually, the challenges when installing a solution into a private home is cabling, this was helped partly because it was still under renovation and had old style floorboards. Part of the cable route was through an area that had been completed but otherwise it was quite a straight forward project. We even had scaffolding assembled in order to mount the external donor antennas on the chimney, with a route into the top floor eaves cupboard where the network units were located.
Result
The end results were great service throughout the whole property on all four networks, with good voice quality and data throughput.
